Carol Reitz - May 30, 2011

Carol Reitz was born on Nov. 9, 1939 in Rock Springs, Wyo. She was the oldest of two children born to Sidney and Lena Dorigatti Case. She attended school in Rock Springs and during high school worked at the drive-in theater and Matthew’s Doughnut Shop.
Carol was married to George Reitz on Oct. 30, 1956 at Green River, Wyo. They lived in Reliance, Wyo. until 1981 when they moved to a farm home southwest of Grant, Neb. where they raised livestock. George died in 2009 and Carol continued to maintain her home with the help of her son.
Carol had developed a malignancy this spring and had been admitted to the Perkins County Community Hospital in Grant where she died Monday May 30, 2011. She had reached the age of 71.
Carol is survived by one daughter, Mary Ellen and husband Mike Rotness of Alliance, Neb.; two sons, Cecil Reitz of rural Grant and Tim and wife Cyndie Reitz of Omaha; one step-son, Ron and wife Edna Clapp of McGrew, Neb.; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and her brother, Michael and wife Charlotte Stultz of Rock Springs.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service was held on Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Grant New Life Fellowship Church with Pastor Vince Carrig officiating.
Burial of cremains was in the Grant Fairview Cemetery. Bullock-Long Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
