Regina Ann Longcor - October 16, 2011

Regina Ann Longcor, 71, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colo. She was born Nov. 24, 1939 in Elsie, Neb. to George and Margaret Lee and grew up on a ranch and farm near Elsie.
After graduating from St. Patrick’s Academy in Sidney, Neb., Regina attended St. Paul Technical College in St. Paul, Minn.
In 1970 Regina married Jim Longcor. They settled in Fort Morgan, Colo. in 1973 where Regina worked for many years at the East Morgan County Hospital and at Morgan County Social Services.
Regina was a devout Catholic and active member of St. Helena parish. She enjoyed cooking and gardening, especially raising different hybrids of roses. She was especially proud of her Irish heritage and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Jim Longcor of Log Lane Village; her children, Jim Colgan of Northglenn, Colo., Sean and his wife Beth Colgan of Foxfield, Colo., Ed Colgan and his wife Josephine of Westminster, Colo Vince and wife Shawna Longcor of Wiggins, Colo. and nine grandchildren; four brothers, Jim, George and Vince Lee of Elsie and Bill Lee of Commerce City, Colo.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Lee, of Champion, Neb. and her parents.
Funeral services were held Oct. 19, 2011 at St. Helena Catholic Church in Ft. Morgan.
Interment was in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Ft. Morgan.
