Neva D. Aylward - March 04, 2012
Neva Aylward, 81, of Wallace, Neb. passed away March 4, 2012 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte, Neb. She was born June 10, 1930 to Lake and Bertha (Doudna) Schultz at Sommerset, Neb. She married Duane Aylward at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wallace on Nov. 12, 1949.
Neva was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Mary’s Altar Society, Federated Women’s Club and was also a 4-H Leader. She was a very nurturing person, loved to dance, garden, and cook. Neva was proud of her children, their families and also cared for many other little ones.
She is survived by her husband, Duane; three daughters, Patricia and husband David Hill of Springfield, Neb.; Rita and husband Bob Dobbins of Hershey, Neb. and Lisa and husband Bob Kosmacek of North Platte; one son, Jeff and wife Kendra Aylward of Dickens, Neb.; seven granddaughters, Brenda and husband Sam McCants, Christa and husband Kory Patera, Kayla Dobbins and her fiancé Jason Star, Taryn Dobbins, Jena Aylward, MaKenzie Aylward and Rachel Kosmacek; two grandsons, Greg Hill and Robbie Kosmacek; brothers, Everett and wife Mary Schultz, Donald Schultz; sister, Donna Werkmeister; sisters-in-law Gloria Schultz and Dorothy Schultz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lake and Bertha Schultz and brothers, Wayne and Jerry Schultz and an infant brother.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am C.T., Thursday, (today) March 8, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wallace.
Burial will be at the Morningview Cemetery near Wallace.
Neva’s request was that her casket not be open.
