Darrin Jameson - July 04, 2012

Darrin Jameson was born on Jan. 7, 1965 at Lincoln, Neb. He was the youngest of three sons born to Dwight and Mary Lou Bower Jameson. Darrin grew up on the Jameson farm southeast of Elsie, Neb. attending school at Wheatland and graduating from Wheatland High School in 1983. After graduation, Darrin attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and graduated in 1987 with a degree in animal science.
Darrin was married to Lisa Glanzer of Holbrook, Neb. on June 4, 1988 in Arapahoe, Neb. They lived south of Grainton, Neb. where Darrin was involved in farming. Their marriage ended in divorce in 2010.
Darrin was riding his 4-wheeler north of Grainton on Wednesday afternoon, July 4, 2012. He had gotten off of the vehicle near the Bob Unruh farm and suffered an apparent fatal heart attack. He had reached the age of 47.
Darrin was a member of the Elsie United Methodist Church. He also was a past member of the Wallace Masonic Lodge, Wallace Volunteer Fire Department, and the Wallace Gun Club.
Darrin is survived by his former wife of 24 years, Lisa of Wallace, Neb.; two sons, Mark and Luke of Wallace; two brothers, Ray and his wife Deb of Wallace and Rory and his wife Nora of rural Elsie; nephews and nieces; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held July 7, 2012 at the Elsie United Methodist Church with Pastor Linda Battello officiating.
Burial was in the Elsie Cemetery.
Bullock-Long Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
