Dan E. Munn, 82, of Waverly, Neb., died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012.
Born in Rokeby, Neb., on Feb. 18, 1930 to Ross and Rose (Birdsall) Munn, he graduated from Grant High School and Lincoln Business College.
He managed several grain co-ops in Nebraska and Kansas, retiring in 1989 from the Omaha Grain Company.
Dan was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waverly, Beatrice Chamber of Commerce and Eagles Club. He was an outstanding Jaycee Award recipient and a life member of the FFA.
He was a former volunteer fireman in Garrison, Neb. He also taught Sunday School, was a youth leader, scoutmaster and baseball coach.
He is survived by his wife Helen, sons Don and wife Deborah Munn of Topeka, Kan.; Dick Munn and friend Debra Erickson of York, Neb.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister Mary and husband Norbert Buss of Grant, Neb.; brothers Ross and wife JoAnne Munn of Waverly; William and Joe Munn, both of Lincoln, Neb.; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
