Lillian Marie Thompson - April 23, 2009

Lillian Marie Thompson of Englewood, Colo., formerly of Grant, Neb., passed away on April 28, 2009 at Swedish Medical Center in Denver.
She had battled non-Hodgkins lymphoma for seven years.
Lil graduated from the University of Texas School of Nursing in 1946 and began her career at Denver General Hospital, where a young medical student stole her heart. The day after his graduation, Lil and Dr. Rollin L. Thompson (Tommy) were married.
Lil and Tommy resided in Grant from 1950-1960, where four of their five children were born. Tommy practiced family medicine in Grant until the family moved to Denver in 1960, where Tommy specialized in ophthalmology.
After Tommy’s death 17 years ago, Lil focused her great energy and love on her five children and nine grandchildren, who will always carry Lil’s spark with them: Mike and wife Regie of Denver; Karyn and husband Dean of Denver, and their three sons, George, Tom and Ted; Sheri and husband Mick of Greeley, Colo., and their two daughters Ashley and Kelsey; Mark and wife Vicci of Austin, Texas and their two sons, Drew and Sloan; Lynda and her sons Caden and Curren of Vero Beach, Fla.
