Kenneth Waterman - July 16, 2009

Kenneth Waterman was born on Dec. 28, 1928 at Savannah, Mo. He was the third of seven children born to Carl and Lula Parker Waterman.
He grew up in Perkins County, Nebraska and was married to Esteline Lovenburg on Jan. 22, 1950. They lived in Nebraska until 1969 when they moved to Ft. Morgan, Colo. They returned to Grant, Neb. after their retirement.
Kenneth had been in failing health and had been transferred to the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff where he died on July 16, 2009. He had reached the age of 80.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers.
He is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Esteline; three daughters, Donna and husband Dean Carey of Venango, Neb., Darlene Waterman of Ogallala, Neb. and Dianna and husband Nick McCleary of Madrid, Neb.; three sons, Eugene and wife Jeannette of Ogallala, Jim and wife Amy of Windsor, Colo. and Donald of Grant; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Pauline Lyon of Grant, Maxine Snyder of North Platte, Neb., Berniece Brown of Milford, Neb., and Irene Karr of Carson City, Calif.; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, July 22 at the Waterman residence west of Grant on Highway 23 with Pastor Wayne Karr officiating.
His body was cremated. Burial of cremains will be in the Grant Cemetery.
Bullock-Long Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
