Esther Boese - December 24, 2008

Esther Boese was born on Dec. 20, 1921 in York County, Neb. She was one of eight children born to George and Sarah Huebert. The family moved to Madrid, Neb. when she was a young child. She grew up in Madrid where she attended elementary school. The family moved to Salem, Ore. when she was 16.
Esther was married to Albert Boese Aug. 10, 1948. They adopted two children. Soon after they married, they moved to Caldwell, Idaho, where they farmed. They remained there until 1970 when they moved to Warden, Wash. They moved to Grant, Neb. in 1986. She remained in Grant after her husband, Albert, passed away in that same year. She moved to Arlington, Texas in 2006.
Esther loved to garden and was a member of the Grant Garden Club. She was very accomplished in anything to do with crafts–embroidery, quilting and crocheting.
She was an active member of the New Life Fellowship Church as well as the Perkins County Senior Center.
Esther lived in the Arbrook Senior Apartments while living in Arlington. She began having heart troubles in 2008 and passed away on Dec. 24, 2008 at the age of 87.
In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; her sisters, Sarah Dick, Margaret Penner, Eva Krause and Marie Flaming; brothers, Abe, Ben and Nicholas.
She is survived by her daughter Denise and husband Craig Wehrli; son Joey Boese; grandchildren, Christine, Deanna, Susan, Phillip and Debra Wehrli and Abigal and Jonathon Boese.
There will be a graveside service at the Madrid Cemetery, Saturday August 1 at 10 a.m.
