She was a member of the Lutheran Church in Brule and Ogallala for many years. She was a Charter member of the Pleasant Vail Club in Brule until all the members became too old and it was no longer held. She loved to go to the senior center and was a member of RSVP for 20 years.
On June 17, 1982 her husband George died, but she remained in her home and loved to cook and have visits with her children and many relatives. Every year her brothers and a sister tried to get together for reminiscing and lots of good food.
