Streets get a face-lift; S. Central work to begin
With the warm weather, construction crews are out en mass in Grant fixing and pouring new cement.
(Below) According to City of Grant Superintendent Edward Dunn, the library parking project, which replaced the parallel parking stalls with angle stalls, is complete minus a small gutter along the alley. The painting crew will be here in late September to paint the parking lines, he said.
(Above) The downtown Central Ave. project is progressing as planned. Here workers pour new concrete in front of Frenchman Valley Coop gas station.
Dunn also commented that a paving project on South Central Ave. is scheduled to start June 5th. Completing the work will be CSC Construction. When CSC is done on South Central they will move to the intersection of 6th and Warren, Dunn said.
