Tammy Terry, 58, of Grant,  Neb.,passed away on March 14, 2023, at UC Health in Denver, Colorado.

Tammy was born on June 6, 1964, in Colorado, to Kenneth Roger and Bonnie Jean (Smith) Green. She was a proud graduate of Perkins County High School.

Tammy began her career working at Woodstock Pizza, moving on to various convenience stores in Grant. She then dedicated her time to the Co-op before eventually taking a position as a 911 dispatcher for Perkins and, later, Keith County Communications.

An avid lover of the outdoors, Tammy found great joy in gardening and tending to her flowers. Her yard was her sanctuary, and she cherished the time spent caring for her pets, admiring hummingbirds and dragonflies, and working around the yard. Tammy’s love for nature and the outdoors brought her immense happiness and contentment.

Tammy is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Roger Green and stepmother, Kathy Green, and mother, Bonnie Jean (Smith) Green.

She is survived by her fiancé, Todd Lower of Grant; brother and sister-in-law, JD (Michelle) Cartwright of Ogallala, Neb., and their children, Stevie and Jayden; sister, Jennifer Green-Wolfskill of Denver, Colo.; nephew and niece, Zander and Jordan Lopez, both of Denver; brother-in-law, John Lopez of Denver; her aunts, Paula Haynes and Peggy Green, both of Grant, and D. Ann Dorris of Kansas; along with many other relatives and friends.

A memorial has been established in Tammy’s memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at bullocklongfuneralhome.com.

A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced.

Bullock-Long Funeral Home of Grant is in charge of arrangements.
