The Perkins County Plainsmen took another step towards a second consecutive undefeated regular season Friday with a 56-6 win over Sutherland.

The 7-0 Plainsmen will seek to complete the perfect regular season when they play host to 1-6 Morrill on Haenfler Field at 7 p.m. Thursday night

While the Plainsmen come into the game a huge favorite, Coach Carlie Wells said they will focus on staying sharp.

With this type of game, he said they will set goals on both sides of the ball and seek to meet them.

He expects Morrill to bring seven or all eight of their players in the box in an effort to stop Perkins County’s run game.

In the Plainsmen’s last two games, they’ve run for around 500 yards or more against teams who tried to stop their running game.
