Attorney gives social media presentation at Wallace

On Monday, Feb. 13, School Attorney Bobby Truhe made a presentation to Wallace Public Schools regarding legal issues related to students’ use of social media. 

Visitors from Hayes Center Schools, and grades nine-12 attended the presentation from 11 a.m.-noon. Grades five-eight attended the presentation from 1-2 p.m. Staff and community members also attended the presentation. 

Truhe used humor and statistics to demonstrate real cases of inappropriate use of social media. He explained the seriousness of the consequences and stressed to students how getting caught up in inappropriate use of social media could make major changes in their lives. 

The presentation was very eye opening to students, staff, visitors and the community members.
