Student art to be displayed at capitol

During March, designated as Youth Art Month, art teachers are invited to show two students’ work of original design and concept to be shown as examples of the National Art Education Standards. Perkins County Schools’ Hailey Snyder (left) and Laura Dreiling were selected to exhibit their artwork for this display in the State Capitol Rotunda. The show will run from March 13-25 with a Youth Art Month Ceremony at 2 p.m. CT. Both Hailey and Laura and other Perkins County students will have a Youth Art Month show at Meadowlark Gallery in Grant, displaying Friday, March 3, 6 p.m. through Saturday, March 11, 8 p.m.
