RPAC golf this week

With the Southwest and Paxton Invites under their belts, Wallace golfers Matt Lungrin, Riley Strawder and Chase Martin spent two days preparing for Thursday’s RPAC meet in Alma.

Lungrin finished tied for 11th at Friday’s Southwest Invite at Cambridge. Lungrin ended with a score of 100 after shooting 47 out and 53 in. Strawder shot 61 out and 62 in for a final score of 123 and Martin had nine hole rounds of 63 and 65 to finish at 128.

Hitchcock County had all five golfers finish under 100, including overall medalist Jack Baker, 75, and won the team title.

The Wildcats headed to the Paxton Invite Monday.

Lungrin finished eighth after shooting 89. No scores were available for Strawder or Martin.

Jacob Holzfaster of Paxton won the tournament with a score of 77.

No team scores were kept.

Up next

Two other regular season meets remain on the schedule, the North Platte St. Pat’s Invite May 4 and the Mullen Invite May 10, before district golf May 15 at Bridgeport’s Courthouse and Jail Rock Course.
