Brandon Knoles wrestled Colt Rodgers of Bridgeport twice to claim the gold in the 220-pound division in Chase County on Saturday.

Perkins County claimed fifth place at the Chase County Invite on Saturday, Jan. 12 after all five varsity wrestlers placed.

Momentum could be in the Lady Plainsmen’s favor going into this week’s SPVA competition after the team took their second win of the season in last week’s action.

The Lady Wildcats traveled to South Platte on Thursday, Jan. 10 and competed against the Blue Knights. The Wildcats came up short the first half, going into halftime down 21-13.

Wallace had another week of back-to-back games. Last Thursday, the Wildcats traveled to Big Springs to take on the South Platte Knights and Friday they were at home hosting the Paxton Tigers.

It’s anticipated to be a night of fun, and also some important fundraising, as Chase County hosts this year’s Pink Out games Thursday, Jan. 10.
