A fire 10 miles southeast of Grant destroyed approximately 20 acres in a harvested cornfield late Wednesday morning, Nov. 29.

The Elsie Methodist Ladies held their annual soup supper and bazaar fund raiser on Nov. 18. They served five kinds of soup and a variety of homemade pies and desserts.

All-conference volleyball players have been selected for the 2017 season.

The Wallace drama team preformed at the district D1-5 one acts at The Tassel in Holdrege on Nov. 27.  They earned fourth place with their performance of The Tolstoy Story Play written by V.

Garrett Pollard, a 2016 graduate of Perkins County High School, recently joined Phi Theta Kappa, an academic honor society, at Southeast Community College.
