Beautician added to Hair Works

Miria Moore of Grant, who graduated from  McCook Beauty Academy in Dec. 2022, has been hired by Hair Works owner Nicole Taylor to join her at the salon on Grant’s Central Ave.

Offerings by Miria include manicures, pedicures, haircuts, color, vivid color, styling, installation and refreshment of wigs; and ethnic hair.

Other offerings at the shop are perms, foot-bath detox and jelly pedicures, which  exfoliate and soften feet.

Miria said that she decided to pursue hairstyling with encouragement from her mom, Elisa Large of Imperial, who knew she enjoyed fixing hair. Miria decided to attend school, decided she liked it, and was good at it. “I’m excited to see how it all goes,” she said.
