Helena honored, summer events highlighted at recent Chamber meeting
The Perkins County Chamber of Commerce meeting was held Thursday, May 18 at noon at the Perkins County Senior Center. There were 12 members present.

Receives First
Dollar
First Dollar was given to Helena, managed by Jake Adler, Operating Manager Adam Uehling and Sales Representatives Josh Apolius and Tony Schrotberger.
Helena has 450 locations nationwide. February 2023 they opened an office on Central Ave., in Grant. They help farmers with crop nutrition, procession ag, and fertilizer.
Community Focus
Jayson Bishop is organizing the men’s golf league and currently they have 30 teams. The league plays every Thursday night and women’s league is every Wednesday night.
Another potential upcoming event is the Hatch’s Golf Tournament which will be June 24-25.
May Day Baskets
The Chamber’s May Day basket event was a great success with 185 distributed.

Biz Ad Lottery Winner
Our lottery business winner for May was Mid-America/Wheatland Ethanol at Madrid.
Upcoming Events
Mark your calendars for the June 3 city-wide garage sales (maps will be available at the The Grant Tribune-Sentinel and Kwik Stop); June 7 will be Pinnacle Bank’s annual Shred Day from 3-5 p.m.; the City of Grant pool will open May 27th, weather permitting; the 4-H enrollment deadline is June 15th.
Also to keep on your radar are the annual events during 4th of July at the Grant City Park and the Perkins County Fair July 18-22.
