New realty company to focus on serving Perkins County

A new realty company has emerged in Perkins County, though the faces of the company are no strangers to the area.

Longtime Perkins County residents Bob Tatum and Bernie Deaver have teamed up to open Southwest Farm & Home Realty and are ready to help locals sell their commercial, residential and farm properties.

Tatum has been a real estate broker in Grant and the surrounding areas for over 25 years and said his interest in starting this company came from losing the office space on main street he has been utilizing for the past several years.

“I was looking at starting my own firm, and Bernie expressed interest in getting his sales license so it just made sense to team up,” said Tatum.

“I had noticed the number of out-of-county realtors doing business here and thought there would be room for more local presence. At the same time, friend and longtime area broker Bob Tatum had lost his realty office presence on main street with the sale of Lacy Insurance,” Deaver said.

Business partners Tatum and Deaver have office space at 224 Central Ave., in Grant and will be available for business Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and any time by appointment.

“We represent sellers and buyers of residential and ag properties in Perkins County and the surrounding area,” Deaver said.

Southwest Farm & Home Realty can be found online at www.southwestfarmhome.com and via social media.
