Patrick completes certification

Trent Patrick of Grant, owner of Ag Data Specialties, has completed his certification to provide precision irrigation services for CropMetrics. 

CropMetrics provides water management tools to aid growers in maximizing the efficiency and profitability of their irrigation systems. 

CropMetrics dealers must attend annual training, and certify by successfully passing exams in four areas of systematic water management. These include agronomics of soil and water, managing water with soil moisture probes, using crop modeling and weather to enhance precision water application, and spatial application of water through variable rate irrigation. 

This comprehensive training is also approved by the NRCS for support of their cost-share programs relating to advanced water management.

CropMetrics is a precision agriculture company based out of North Bend, Neb., specializing in precision water management and has dealers throughout the United States.

Trent has been providing certified precision water management in southwest Nebraska for six years. He is a local farmer and is an active member of the community in various organizations.
