Perkins County 4-H and FFA Beef Weigh-In Feb. 9

The final Perkins County 4-H Market Beef Weigh-In is set for Saturday, Feb. 9 from 10-11 a.m. at Cecil Hendricks’ ranch.

All Perkins County 4-H and FFA members planning to exhibit market heifers or market steers should weigh-in, tag and identify their projects at this time.

Any youth planning to exhibit at the Nebraska State Fair or Ak-Sar-Ben Livestock Exposition will also be required to collect hair samples for DNA purposes.

There will be a handling fee for each animal identified to exhibit at these shows. Cost is to be determined.

Those who cannot make it to the market beef weigh-in in Perkins County need to make arrangements to tag and identify their animals.

All Market Beef IDs are due to the Perkins County Extension Office by March 31.
