Private pesticide training scheduled

Private pesticide safety training has been set for Perkins, Chase and Dundy Counties. Plan to attend one of the training sessions for initial training or to renew a license.

For training sessions outside Perkins, Chase and Dundy Counties check website http://pested.unl.edu/ .

There is a training cost for initial or renewal pesticide certification. Please bring a copy of the letter sent by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture if renewing your certification.  Forms will be available at the training sessions to renew or certify for the first time.

Following the certification meeting or the completion of the self-study course, the information is sent to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture stating that pesticide training has been completed.  A billing statement will be sent from the Nebraska Department of Agriculture for their license fee. After the NDA receives payment, a license will be issued.

Pesticide certification can also be obtained by attending and participating in a crop production clinic conducted by Nebraska Extension. Preregistration is required at http://agronomy.unl.edu/cpc.

For additional information contact Strahinja Stepanovic by email sstepanovic2@unl.edu
