Viaero Wireless was recognized as Perkins County Chamber’s Business Spotlight of May at their monthly meeting on May 18.

Viaero has been located in Grant for 10 years. Staff includes Christine Nelson, manager, as well as Melissa Dolezal and Stephanie Palu.

In 1991, Viaero President Frank DiRico established Cellular One of Northeast Colorado, a new wireless service in Fort Morgan. Nebraska Wireless Telephone Company was acquired in 2003 and re-named Viaero Wireless.

Nelson said their focus is to provide highly reliable, wide-ranging cellular coverage to communities all across Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas and Wyoming.

“Our biggest focus is maintaining that one-on-one connection with all the small, rural communities and making sure everyone is covered within our footprint,” said Nelson.

She said one thing that is unique about Viaero is they have their own construction team and tower crew, and they own all their towers.

They also provide home internet.

There are 60 store locations across Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas and Wyoming, with the corporate office based in Fort Morgan.

Nelson said Viaero will continue to strive to provide superior coverage, personal customer service, competitive products and access at all times to the network.
