Westview recognized by chamber as April spotlight

Westview Retirement Community has been around for 27 years and will hit 28 years in January of 2022!

Westview is such a unique place that is definitely overlooked and not utilized as it should be. Westview provides safety, security, and peace of mind for those of retirement age.

With living at Westview, you do not have to worry about cleaning your room, mowing the grass, scooping the snow, or even about what you are going to eat for lunch every day, or at all if you choose one of the special meal plans.

We currently have 10 empty rooms and have immediate openings. One struggle that we have in this day and age is that people are wanting to stay home as long as they possibly can.

However, those who have chosen to move to Westview think that it is one of the best decisions they have made due to the fact that they have far less worries than those who remain at home.

We just completed raising funds for replacing 10 of the residents’ heat/air units in their apartments. We held two fundraisers, one before Thanksgiving and one on St. Patrick’s Day, which were both were a huge success.

We have begun replacing those units as of April 6th! We are so thankful for the community; everyone was so generous and kind!

As far as promoting Westview, we are big advocates of people coming and looking at the facility to see what we are all about.

Once people come and see Westview and how everything works, they are always impressed by the facility, and amazed how they have not heard of it before. Like I mentioned earlier, people are wanting to stay home as long as they can.

I believe part of that reason is because they do not want to move to a “home”.

The unique part about Westview is that we are not a nursing home, or an assisted living. We are 100% independent, but there are things set in place if you do need a little more assistance or guidance. We want to make things simple for people so they can enjoy their retirement and enjoy their life.
