Y3 Candle Company is currently hosting a giveaway in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week which takes place the week of May 5th through the 9th.
Amanda Osler, or many know her as “Mandy,” is the owner of the company. She grew up on her family farm in Elsie, Nebraska and graduated from Perkins County High School in 2015. She then got married in 2019 and made the decision to move back to her roots on the family farm. Osler works from home and on top of her business, is a stay at home mom for her son. “Our little family is my whole world and and I’m so lucky to be able to stay home with my son and work,” said Osler.
The company started when some of her family came over for arts and crafts projects. From then on she knew that she loved the process of candle making and dove right into research on making candles.
“It took months of hard work to get the process down but it was so worth it,” said Osler.
The name Y3 is actually Osler’s family brand that has been passed from generations to generations. The company values faith and family and strives to show that to their customers as well.
The candles are made from 100% American grown soybean wax which burns cleaner and is also a renewable resource. They also have cotton wixs that are tested to make sure the candles have the cleanest burn possible and make them paraffin free. As for the fragrance, the candles are made with the highest quality essential oils.
Currently Y3 Candle Company does not have a storefront and is strictly an at home business, however, candles are available at Y3candleco.com or through text/facebook messenger.
Osler had a customer reach out to ask her about doing apple dough bowl candles. She had an extra candle and thought it would be a great way to help the community celebrate and show appreciation to the teachers in our community who have or have had an impact on them.
Nominations close after the first week of May.
