Chamber President

The Perkins County Chamber of Commerce’s regular meeting was held Thursday, Feb. 16 at Noon at the Perkins County Senior Center. There were 14 members present. 

First Dollar 

Pronto Convenience was honored with their First Dollar at the meeting. Purchased in January, David and Sydney Sohler are operating the store with Janet Huff serving as its manager. 

Pronto will have monthly specials, daily lunch specials, a new charge card system, that customers can use at the pump or inside, and gift cards to purchase.

Business Spotlight 

Chris Loeffler Photography was featured during the meeting in our Business Spotlight. Chris started her business in 2017 and specializes in senior pictures, family portraits, albums and has recently started doing photo montages.

Community focus

 Our Community Focus was on the new PC Leo Club, that is associated with the local Lions Club. Present to tell the members about the new group was Brock Tines, Emma Klahn, and Kaitlin Meyer. See a full story on the group on Page 3 of this paper.

coming up

In March we will have a coloring contest at the Perkins County elementary school that will feature firemen, linemen, and farmers. Winners will receive greenbacks.

April 8 will be our annual Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. at the Grant City Park, depending on the snow.

Starting next month, we will have a monthly lottery drawing for an ad in the Tribune’s business directory. I will contact the winners from a random drawing for this chamber sponsored advertising.

Fund raising has started for 4th of July fireworks. Our budget for 2023 is $8,000 we would like to reach a budget of $10,000 for 2024. Any donation would be appreciated.
