Something for everyone at Wallace Fall Festival

A full weekend of events is planned in the town of Wallace with its annual Fall Festival Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 17 and 18, following a golf tournament that was held Sunday, Sept. 11.

The day will begin with hot air balloon rides at the Wallace Airport, weather permitting.

Pancakes and sausage will be served at the Wallace Fire Hall by the fire department. 

At 7:30, the 5K run/walk will begin in front of the Wallace School.

A craft show and bake sale will be held at the American Legion beginning at 8 a.m.

At 10 a.m. the parade will begin on main street. 

Following the parade, the Grand Marshal, Old Scout, Good Neighbor and Paint Your Bale awards will be presented, as well as kids races, toad and turtle races.

The junior class will be holding a labor auction on main street at the parade stand.

Wheel of Fire and silent auction will be held at the fire hall and a quilt show will be presented at the library.

Pulled pork and hot dogs will be served from 11:30-1 at the community hall.

Afternoon events include a truck and antique tractor pull at noon south of the park; fun  jumps and kids games, petting zoo; rodeo fun events, frisbee golf tournament, axe throwing, a corn hole tournament and lots of music.

A chili cookoff will be held at the community hall with proceeds going to a mission trip.

At 8:30 a family movie will be presented at the baseball fields.

Visitors can enjoy lattes, kettle  corn and ice cream treats all day long.

Sunday’s events include a volleyball tournament, coffee and muffin fellowship, a community-wide church service and lunch, and team roping in the afternoon.
