Elementary art at Meadowlark Gallery

In celebration of Youth Art Month, the Perkins County Area Arts Council invites the public to see what’s been happening in Perkins County Schools’ art classes with their 2023 opening show at Grant’s Meadowlark Gallery during the month of March.

The first half of the month, elementary art will be on display; the second half will feature high school art.

A variety of art forms will be represented with Kindergarten-sixth grade artists studying self portraits; shapes; vertical and horizontal lines; primary colors; weaving; tints and shades; warm and cool colors; printmaking; geometric shapes; motion; animals; foil embossing; and artists Keith Haring and Vincent Van Gogh, according to elementary instructor Nicole Long. She, along with her students have chosen their best work to display.

The gallery is open from 5-7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings, every month from March-November.
