Perkins County High School celebrates Class of 2025 graduation

On Saturday May 10th, Perkins County High School held a ceremony for the graduation Class of 2025. The ceremony was opened by the Perkins County Jr./Sr. High School Principal, Dalton Patterra.
Following was the opening speech by Class President Emily Cornelius. She spoke about how important it is to live in the moment. After that Class Vice President Kenna Busick, who gave a speech encouraging her peers to “dream big.” Perkins County Choir performed “Take Me Home, Country Roads” including Seniors Brock Tines and Maylynn Walker.
Next, a slideshow was presented with numerous pictures of the class throughout the years. After that, Seniors recognized friends and family by handing out flowers while PCS alumni Eli Busick performed “Hell of a Year” by Parker McCollumn.
Patterra then gave a special recognition speech, giving the class words of encouragement and advice for the real world, followed by Senior Ryder Potts Speech, reminiscing class memories and Superintendent Mark Jolliffee’s life advice.
Jolliffee, alongside school board members Chris Fryzek (president) , Tori Gengenbach (vice president), Jaysen Bishop (treasurer), Holly Cornelius (secretary), Jason Noyes (member) and Cameron Sis (member), presented the Class of 2025 with their diplomas. Closing the ceremony was Senior Oscar Boldt.
