Veteran’s Day service set at PC Schools

Perkins County Veteran’s will be honored for their service on Tuesday, Nov. 11, Veteran’s Day, at the Perkins County Schools in Grant.

The Perkins County programs will start at the Elementary School in Grant at 8 a.m. with a free breakfast. All Veteran’s and a guest are welcome to come. A program by students will follow breakfast at 9 a.m.

Then at Perkins County High School at 10 a.m. another program will be held with the Perkins County band and chorus performing, Boys and Girls State attendees speaking, and guest Gary Burke speaking.

A free meal provided by the four Perkins County Legion Posts will immediately follow at the school. 

The meal will consist of sub sandwiches and chips provided by Hatch’s, along with another option of ham and beans with cornbread provided by the Madrid American Legion. All Veterans and a guest are encouraged to come and enjoy.

The four Perkins County American Legion Posts include the Madrid American Legion Post No. 271, Venango American Legion Post No. 270, Elsie American Legion Post No. 206, and Grant American Legion Post No. 40.
