4-H getting ready to kick-off in Perkins County

A parent/member meeting on Monday, March 27 will kick off the Perkins County 4-H Year for 2023, according to Debbie Kuenning, 4-H extension educator for Perkins County. The event will be held from 6-6:30 p.m. at the Perkins County Fairgounds in Grant. 

All families currently enrolled in 4-H or interested in learning about 4-H are highly encouraged to attend, Kuenning said.

“This is an informational meeting about 4-H in Perkins County,” she said. “We will discuss communication, calendars, policies, dates and 4-H opportunities.”

Other 4-H Activities

The 4-H Council is planning to host a variety of project days between April and June. Youth will be able to come to a meeting and leave with a project that is ready for fair, Kuenning said. Details are now being planned for the events

4-H Enrollment Deadline

The 4-H enrollment deadline in Nebraska is June 15. However, members and leaders need to be enrolled before they participate with their clubs, she said.
