First baby born in 2018, Adley Lynn is in the comfort of her mother, Mira Mauser’s arms, next to Dad, Scott and 3 year-old sister Jenna.
Adley Mauser debuts as Perkins County’s first baby born in 2018
Perkins County didn’t have to wait too long this year to welcome the first baby of 2018. Baby girl Adley Lynn Mauser made her grand entrance on Jan. 8 at 8:02 a.m. at Perkins County Health Services.
At just 7 pounds, 10 ounces and 19 3/4 inches long, Adley is the second daughter to parents Scott and Mira Mauser. Also excited to meet her new baby sister was 3 year-old Jenna.
The family resides in Big Springs, Neb. Scott is employed by the Nebraska Department of Roads, and Mira, coincidentally, works as the admissions clerk in the physical therapy department of PCHS.
The Mausers brought with them to the hospital a list of names they liked, but the newborn was several hours old before Mom and Dad came to a decision. “It was the only one that really fit her,” said Mira.
Grandparents of the baby are Kent and Danielle Mauser of Big Springs, Randy Brown of Grand Island, Neb., and Cindy Brown of Cairo, Neb.
