Angel Tree “forms” due by Oct. 31
The Angel Tree Committee, in association with the Perkins County Ministerial Association, is once again providing assistance this year with Christmas gifts for Perkins County families.
Angel Tree forms are now electronic. The information will be sent to all students K-8 in Perkins County. This year, a Q-R code will be used to apply for gifts.
Once all request forms are received, gift tags are created by the Angel Tree Committee, and distributed to area churches on Sunday, Nov. 16. Anyone needing additional forms, or has any questions should contact Sherri Fridel at 308-353-1155.
Anyone wishing to contribute to the project can choose a tag from a participating church’s angel tree and buy an appropriate gift; or make a financial donation to the ministerial association at Pinnacle Bank in Grant or any area church.
Participating children each have two tags—one for a clothing item and one for a toy or fun activity item.
The tags are anonymous, containing only the child’s age and gender, and suggestions for gift items.
Participating churches are United Methodist Church, Elsie; United Methodist, Zion Lutheran, New Life Fellowship, Mother of Sorrows, Trinity Lutheran and E-Free, Grant.
Gifts are to be returned to churches by Sunday, Dec. 11, unwrapped and placed in a gift bag with the Angel Tree tag securely attached. Gifts are then organized by the committee and distributed to families on Friday, Dec. 19, 4-7 p.m. at Grant E-Free Church.
Angel Tree members are Susan Hanson, Shari Friedel, Alecia Einspahr, Diana Tate, Chelsey Tines, Donna Mayer, Ella Spicknall and Nicole Tjaden.
