Angel Tree brings children joy

In the spirit of the season, the Angel Tree will once again assist Perkins County families in providing gifts for their children.

The project is sponsored by the Perkins County Ministerial Association and organized by volunteers from various churches.

How It Works

Forms are sent home with Perkins County students in kindergarten through eighth grades. They are also available at the front office of the high school, Hatch’s Super Foods, Grant Medical Clinic, Colglazier/Demmel Medical Clinic and the post office.

The forms request information on children up to age 18 and their gift requests. Each child receives two gifts: a clothing gift and a fun gift.

Once information is gathered, request cards will be released to the public through the churches. Children will not be identified by name on the gift request cards.

Monetary donations may be given to any pastor or dropped off at Pinnacle Bank in Grant.

 Deadline

Request letters must be completed and returned no later than Monday, Nov. 13 to Marlene Pritchett, PO Box 370, Grant NE 69140.

Gifts are to be picked up on Tuesday, Dec. 19 from 5-8 p.m. at the Grant United Methodist Church.
