Bid accepted to paint courthouse interior
Brooke Pankonin, Grant Tribune-Sentinel
The Perkins County Courthouse will soon be updated with new interior paint as commissioners accepted a bid from Hartley Painting Co. at their Dec. 4 meeting.
The bid, which included wall, ceiling, crown molding, ballast railing and hand railing painting, wall and ceiling crack repair, third floor stairway ceiling removal and replacement, and scaffolding and drop protection, came in at $36,079.24.
IC Quality Painting, Inc. also submitted a bid in the amount of $18,967.50.
While it’s common to accept the lowest bid, a number of factors led to the commissioners’ decision to choose Hartley.
