Blood drive surpasses goal

The Elsie/Madrid Community blood Drive that was held Friday, April 28 surpassed its goal that was set by the American Red Cross. The wet weather turned out to be an advantage for the blood drive due to the farmers not being able to be in the field.

Lunch was provided by Pinnacle Bank of Grant.

Donors reaching their gallon marks were: Ken Kohmetscher, nine; Carl Hamit, seven; David Lempke, four.

The following volunteers provided their time and resources to help make the day a success: Dolores Steinwart, John Cutler, Madisyn Cutler.

The next Elsie/Madrid Blood Drive will be July 7.
