Breaking News: Summer activities to remain as scheduled with resignation of park and rec director

City of Grant Park and Recreation Director Rachel Patrick submitted her two weeks notice on Monday, May 7. She notified summer ball coaches that she would do as much as she could to prepare for the upcoming season.
City Superintendent Dana Harris said the sponsors, coaches and teams have been arranged, uniforms have been ordered and the season will take place as scheduled.
She said the pool is scheduled to open on Memorial Day. There are three pool operators in addition to Patrick and one currently being trained.
