In Brief: Aug. 9-15

Election Ballots: The sample ballot for the hospital special election is on page 8. Ballots are due at the Perkins County Courthouse on Tuesday, Aug. 15 by 5 p.m.

Blood Drive: A blood drive will be held in Wallace on Friday, Aug. 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. CT at the  Community Hall, 105 E Alice Street.

Golf Scramble: Pheasants Forever will host their 2-person golf scramble on Saturday, Aug. 12, 1 p.m. at Pheasant Run Golf Course. See ad on page 3 for more information.

Grill-out: Pinnacle bank will host a back-to-school grill out at Grant City Park on Tuesday, Aug. 15 from 5:30-7 p.m. See ad on page 5 for more information.  

Pool Hours: Grant City Pool is now open Mondays and Thursdays from 6:30-8 p.m. for night swim and Saturdays from 1-5 p.m. Regular hours ceased on Sunday, Aug. 6, and the closing date will be determined based on attendance. 

TOPS Meeting: TOPS weight loss support group meets every Tuesday from 4-5:15 p.m. at New Life Fellowship Church. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 308-352-4083.
