Chamber light competition geared towards making PC “Merry and Bright”

The Perkins County Chamber of Commerce took the opportunity to try to “brighten” things up this holiday season with a holiday light competition. 

“Merry and Bright,” was an idea Chamber President brought to the board in early December at the monthly board meeting, where it was voted into action. 

Business and residential community members were invited to participate by registering and also submitting a photo for the chamber’s Facebook page. 

This allows anyone who would like to go see the lights in person the opportunity to do so, and anyone who is unable to get out to visit in person, an opportunity to vote on their favorite. 

There were six entries this year for the competition and the addresses and their numbers to vote for on the chamber’s Facebook page are listed below:

• House 1: 940 Washington St., Grant

• House 2: 832 Logan Ave., Grant

• House 3: 445 W. 6th St., Grant

• House 4: 520 Softley Dr., Grant

• House 5: 109 S. Ford St., Madrid

• House 6: 75785 Rd. 344., Elsie

Prizes are available for several different categories;  Grant, Madrid, Elsie, Venango, Best Inflatables, Worth the Drive, Best Business, Best Lights and Overall Choice.
