Children explore pollinator garden

Tuesday, June 27 was Pollinator Day at the USDA Service Center in Grant. Heather Francis, Farm Bill Wildlife Biologist, gave a presentation to children from the Hugs N Teddy Bears Daycare on pollinators and their importance. The children explored the People’s Garden which now contains a pollinator plot that was planted last year by both NRCS and FSA employees. The People’s Garden is located just south of the USDA Service Center at 927 Central Avenue in Grant. Everyone is always welcome to visit.
