Kayla Korf collided into Ken Hightower after stopping at the stop sign on Fourth Street but not seeing him driving northbound on Lincoln.

Collision on Fourth and Lincoln

Perkins County’s first responders were called to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Fourth and Lincoln in Grant on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 26. 

According to the accident report, Kayla Korf, 19, of Grant, was driving northbound in a 2008 Chevrolet Impala on Fourth Street. She stopped at the Fourth and Lincoln intersection stop sign and proceeded, not seeing Kenneth Hightower, 74, of Grant, driving westbound on Lincoln Avenue in a 2003 Dodge Durango. 

The front of Korf’s vehicle collided with the driver’s side door of Hightower’s vehicle. 

 Hightower was transported to Perkins County Health Services by Perkins County Ambulance with high blood pressure and complaints of shoulder pain. 

The estimated damages were $5,000 to Korf’s vehicle and $1,000 to Hightower’s. 

Korf was cited for stop sign violation.
