Combination Hunter/Bowhunter Education Course Offered

A combination Hunter/Bowhunter education course will be offered by Nebraska Game and parks Commission volunteer instructors in Wallace, Nebraska on March 16, 17, 20 and 21, 2020. The sessions will take place at 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. CT on March 16, 17 and 20, and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on March 21.

The free course will be held at the Wallace American Legion Building at 217 S. Commercial Ave., Wallace, Neb. The course will provide instruction in the areas of safe firearm./bow use, shooting and sighting techniques, hunter ethics, game identification and conservation management. Students must attend all of the sessions to complete the course. Students must be 11 years old by the completion of the class to be tested and certified.

In Nebraska, hunters ages 12 through 29 must have on their person proof of successful completion of firearm/bow hunter education while hunting with a firearm, crossbow or bow.
