The annual Perkins County Chamber Fourth of July Celebration was a success again this year, with hundreds flocking to the Grant City Park for a full day of activities. The day kicked of with a firecracker fun run, and a country breakfast, and the fun went on well into the afternoon. The Grant Volunteer Fire Department illuminated the night sky over the ballfields with its annual Independence Day fireworks display, continuing a cherished Perkins County tradition. This year’s celebration was especially meaningful as Americans marked the nation’s 250th anniversary. See page 8 for more photos and details.
