The team at CPS, formerly Ag-Land Aviation, stands ready to serve area farmers. Team members include (l-r): Jeff Wall, Mike Mayer and former owners of 25 years, Ole and Rochelle Sihm.

CPS purchases Ag-Land Aviation

Crop Production Services (CPS) is the new owner of Ag-Land Aviation, with the official transition taking place Jan. 11.

CPS took over for previous owners, Ole and Rochelle Sihm, after 25 years of ownership.

Sihms gained ownership in the winter of 1992, after managing Steggs Aerial Spraying for eight years prior to that.

After their 25 years as owners, Rochelle explains it was getting harder for independents to compete with pricing against all the co-ops in the area.

With the CPS purchase, the company can continue providing exceptional ag services to area farmers.

“We weren’t ready for retirement and we didn’t want to move to a company that wasn’t based on what we’ve always done. It’s always been about service and looking out for our customers and employees.”
