Fair board invites community to saddle up for Blacktop Pony March 26

Blacktop Pony will take the stage on the evening of Friday March 26 at the Perkins County Fairgrounds.

Following a year that stifled several of the fun events the board had planned, they are excited to kick off the 2021 entertainment.

Blacktop Pony plays classic rock and country music.

“If you are looking for entertainment from Garth Brooks to Journey then we are the band for you,” they say.

Interested attendees can check out their music which is featured on YouTube as well as their Facebook page.

Blacktop Pony has performed all over the state, including at the Nebraska State Fair last year.

Improvements continue at the fairgrounds, and the addition of a liquor license also adds more opportunity in the future for events on the grounds. This event will feature a cash bar.

Doors will open at 8:30 p.m. on Friday the 26 and there will be a cover charge to enter.

2021 Fair Plans

“Country nights and carnival lights” will be the theme for this year’s fair which will be the week of July 19-24.

The theme is the winning  submitted by Jet Peterson, held over from last year’s youth ideas submitted to and voted on by the fair board.

Sawyer Brown has been rescheduled for July 24, and Whiskey Bent will be there to open as was planned for last year.

Bounce houses, bingo, and of course 4-H events are on the schedule as well.

More details will be coming as the event draws closer.
