Firefighters meet with students

Preschool and elementary students get acquainted with a firefighter in full fire-fighting gear at a presentation by the Grant Fire Department at Perkins County Elementary. The exercise helps children to not fear firefighters in the event of a home fire and rescue situation. The Grant Fire Department visits the school annually for Fire Prevention Week, held this year Oct. 9-15. See page 5 for a thank you our area’s first responders.
