Four teens involved in rollover

Four teenagers were involved in a single rollover accident southeast of Madrid on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 31.

Perkins County Sheriff’s Deputy Angel Anderson said the driver was turning the Toyota 4-runner east from Road 340 onto Road 759 when the steering locked, causing the vehicle to roll onto its top in the north ditch.

They were on their way to feed and water horses at a nearby pasture.

Because the occupants were juveniles, they were taken to Perkins County Health Services to be examined. One of the passengers was complaining of arm pain, but there were no other injuries.

Madrid Fire Department, Grant Volunteer Fire Department, Perkins County Ambulance and Perkins County Sheriff’s Office responded.
