Fundraising for fireworks underway

With the Fourth of July exactly three weeks away, fundraising efforts are underway for the annual fireworks display put on by the Grant Volunteer Fire Department and sponsored by the Perkins County Chamber.

The show will follow the chamber sponsored full day of activities at Grant City Park on Wednesday, July 4. 

Anyone interested in serving lunch and/or overseeing the bounce houses for the event should contact Dawnya Dreiling at 308-352-4390.

With an $8,000 budget, this year’s fireworks display will follow tradition as being one of the grandest in the region. 

Donations from the community are needed to achieve that goal, and will be accepted at any bank in Grant and The Barber Pole. 

Names of donors and their donations will be published weekly in the Tribune.
