Gallery presents live music; open house for new art show Friday

This Friday, Meadowlark Gallery in Grant presents “Cabinets of Curiosities,” an art show by Breeanna Benton, regional professional artist and muralist; along with some toe-tapping guitar/banjo numbers by Dave Curtis of Elsie and Keith Martin of Madrid.

“Cabinets of Curiosities” is an immersive art show that invites viewers into a world of storytelling through Benton’s vibrant paintings. With a dynamic blend of acrylic, watercolor and oil, each piece in the collection brings to life a unique narrative—whether it’s celebrating a person; honoring a life lived or simply telling a whimsical story.

The show is an exploration of memory, identity and emotion, presented in a way that engages the imagination and sparks curiosity. With every brush stroke, Benton creates a window into a new world, offering viewers and opportunity to pause, reflect and connect with the stories within.

Adding a playful twist to the experience, the show incorporates a real-life game of I Spy. Hidden items within the artwork challenge viewers to search for and discover hidden treasures, making each visit to the show a unique interactive adventure. Participants can complete small challenging searches and uncover secrets as they explore the collection.
